Colors of Provence June 27 - July 5, 2012
The group arrives in Marseilles France for a short drive to our home base in the heart of Provence. Here we will spend the next 7 days. We start each day for cafe' and pastries. Maybe grab a fresh baguette & cheese to snack on during the day. We will be exploring the quaint villages through Provence, stopping along the way to photograph Sunflower fields and lavender. Some of the villages will be having "Market Day" where locals will be displaying all their crafts and fresh food. Van Gogh spent three years living in the village were we will be staying. We'll visit the hospital and grounds with beautiful, landscaped lavender gardens. The evenings will be spent walking around the narrow streets among the cafes and art galleries, eventually settling on a local bistro for dinner with local food & wine. The sights & smells are fantastic. This is colorful exciting photographic workshop for amateurs and professionals alike. On day nine we drive back to Marseilles for the trip home. Some people might want to add a trip to Paris at the end of the workshop. I will set this up and join along as an option for anyone interrested.
